2014 sees a welcome boost for Primary school Gymnastics.

We are very pleased to report that the HGC school gymnastics support program in partnership with Horsham District Council kicks off to a good start this month with three small teams of HGC coaches being deployed into primary schools in and around the Horsham area, so far more than 120 gymnastics classes have been booked to run within individual primary schools within the Horsham area. Horsham Gymnastics Centre has been working closely with Horsham District Council to get this initiative off the ground which is expected to run for a minimum of two years.

The overall programme is based on the British Gymnastics Key Steps programme which has been especially formulated for introducing gymnastics into primary schools and comprises of fully qualified gymnastics coaches working alongside teaching staff to delivery classes within the school time table this not only improves the overall quality of the class but also providing critical teacher support so the programme can continue long after our coaches have left, over the next few weeks more than 3000 primary school children will get a chance to have fun and improve their gymnastics skills, fantastic news.
