18 April 2016 12:56

Ten gymnasts from Horsham Gymnastics Centre competed in the International Invitational Acro competition held at the Next Dimension Gymnastics Academy in Tunbridge Wells. The event was made up of competitors from clubs throughout Great Britain, Italy and Germany.
The Horsham gymnasts produced stunning routines scoring well both technically and artistically. Aimee Tolhurst and Madeline Kent finished in gold medal position in the Junior Women’s Pairs while Benjamin Radcliffe and Sophie Hogton took silver medal for second place in the 11 to 16 Mixed Pairs. Emily Steere, Zoe Schubert and Natalie O’Hara finished in third place to earn the bronze in the Junior Women’s Groups.
Myla Kettell, Ella Dronfield and Zoe Gaudiano finished in 6th place in the 11-16 Women’s Groups.
Head Horsham Acro coach Ali Harmer said “I am very proud of all the gymnasts that competed today and we now look forward to the next three big competitions where they can test themselves further”
The gymnasts now have a couple of months of hard training before the busy month of July sees them competing in the Sussex Championships at K2 in Crawley (July 2nd), the prestigious Turin International in Italy (July 7th – 11th) and the British Championships in Liverpool (July 27th – 31st).
