If your child “Ever wanted to learn to roll, turn, jump, twist or swing”? Horsham Gymnastics Centre offers gymnastics classes for all ages and abilities. Based at Pavillions in the Park only 500m from the town centre, our purpose built facility is staffed by a dedicated team of professional British Gymnastics accredited gymnastic coaches.

Parent & Toddler


Here at HGC parent and Toddlers Classes are an introduction the adult and child to actively enjoy each other’s company and that of other children in a safe, challenging environment while at the same time having lots of FUN!

Selected equipment is provided which is specifically designed to develop all the basic motor skills through balance, co-ordination, strength, agility, spatial awareness and much more.

Classes run from 9.30am – 10.15am Monday through to Friday, with also an extra class from 10.15am – 11am on a Thursday.

PreSchool

Pre -School Classes for the Under 5’s

For children aged 3-5 years a more independent and structured approach is in place where children are taken around the equipment in small groups which helps in the development of balance and co-ordination skills along with assisting in their preparation for school by improving confidence and interaction with others, all classes are alot of fun and are geared to all ability levels.

We run classes Monday – Friday, 45minute class’s in the morning and 1 hour classes in the afternoon.

General Gymnastics


Gymnastics for full time school children

For school aged children we offer General Gymnastics classes for both girls & boys. These classes range from 1 hour beginner classes, 1.5hr intermediate classes to more advanced 2-hour classes.

These classes cater for children who would like to try gymnastics and whereby they can develop co-ordination, strength, balance, stamina and flexibility.  All classes are based on the British Gymnastics award scheme enabling all participants to gain certificates and badges as they progress through the programme.

These classes run from 4-8pm weekdays and from 9am – 4pm on Saturdays.

Women's Artistic

This is the most popular discipline of Gymnastics in the UK and one of the biggest crowd pleasers at every Olympic Game since 1928.  The sport demands body control, body awareness, suppleness, stamina, coordination, amplitude and courage.  Routines are performed on 4 pieces of apparatus: Vault, uneven bars, beam and floor.
Horsham Gymnastics Club is one of only a handful of clubs in the country that offer’s Artistic gymnastics to an International Level. The women’s section has a development programme which caters from 6years upwards and also has a talent identification programme which reaches into schools.  The women’s section can boast of having gymnasts competing for Great Britain, South East Region and Sussex County.

Acrobatics


Acrobatic Gymnastics could be described as an infusion of choreography and complex acrobatic skills performed in partnership on a standard gymnastics floor area. Balance, Tempo and Combined routines are performed to music.  The partnerships can be formed as the following -

Men’s pair, Women’s pair, Mixed Pair, Women’s Trio and Men’s Four

Within the Horsham Gymnastics Centre we have a very strong acrobatics group which has had many successes at county, regional and national competitions.
