Following on from her competition results earlier in the year and a trial competition that was held, Georgia has been selected as one of 5 England squad members to compete as a junior team.

Georgia will be travelling to Norway in September to compete at the Unni & Haralds Trophy.

Congratulations to Georgia and Brooke who have been awarded places within the England Squad for 2023-2024.

Brooke, after having to unfortunately withdraw from the English Championships which was a trial for the squad, was ineligible for a full place, but has still been awarded a reserve/wildcard place.

Well done to the gymnasts who competed in the Valley Ninja Cup in Nottingham.

Day 1 saw the Compulsory grades gymnasts compete.

In the Compulsory 4 section Lucia and Isabelle both successfully put out new skills on bars, beam and floor. Some mistakes kept their overall scores down, but Lucia placed 8th and Isabelle 6th on vault.

Lucy achieved some good scores at compulsory 3 (11 years old). She managed to achieve a bronze medal on beam, floor and range and conditioning, silver on vault and a gold on bars with 3rd overall.

Bella had a wonderful competition at compulsory 3 (10 years old) collecting a silver medal on vault as well as a gold on bars, beam and floor. Bella was also crowned the AV Ninja compulsory 3 champion.

Day 2 saw the National grades gymnasts compete.

Lucy competed at National Grade 2 (13+ years) where she placed 4th on vault, 5th on bars, 2nd on beam, 1st on floor, 5th on vault and 4th overall.

Bella competed at National Grade 3 (12+ years) where she placed 2nd on bars, 1st on beam, 3rd on floor and 2nd overall.

Grace competed at National Grade 4 (11+ years) and placed 6th on vault and 4th on range and conditioning.

Amilya competed at National Grade 5 (11 years) where she placed 1st on all apparatus as well as overall champion.

This was a good practice competition for these girls for their upcoming regional grades. Good work girls!!!

The Regional grades championships were held at Guildford over the weekend of the 18^th/19^th March. With over 300 gymnasts competing over the weekend this was an extremely busy competition.

There were many fantastic results from our gymnasts throughout this competition with these listed below.

Grade 5:

Paige W (2014)- 2nd AA, 1st on range, 2nd on floor, 4th on beam and 7th on bars.

Paige also placed 7th out of all 59 gymnasts in grade 5 for all year groups and has passed her grade with a distinction.

Grade 3:

Ava B (2012)- 8th AA, 3rd on floor, 7th on beam and 9th on vault and bars.

Ava also placed 19th out of all 53 gymnasts in grade 3 for all year groups and has passed her grade with a commended.

Ava W (2011)- 12th AA, 6th on vault and 7th on floor.

Ava also placed 28th out of all 53 gymnasts in grade 3 for all year groups and has passed her grade with a commended.

Grade 4:

Isla (2012)- 1st AA, 1st on vault, 2nd on floor, 3rd on beam and 4th on bars and range.

Isla also placed 4th out of all 66 gymnasts in grade 4 for all age groups and has passed her grade with commended.

Grade 2:

Holly (2010)- 3rd AA, 2nd on range, floor and bars, 3rd on vault and 8th on beam.

Holly also placed 12th out of all 45 gymnasts in grade 2 for all age groups and has passed her grade with commended.

English Championships Telford:

The English Championships saw Isla place 11^th on Vault in the Aspire category. Tabitha placed a fabulous 8th place on bars at the English Championships in the Junior category.

Georgia performed extremely well at this competition placing 8th AA as well as 5th on Vault and Bars.

Welsh Open Cardiff:

At the Welsh Championships there were some fabulous performances. Arabella performed her Geinger (release and catch) on bars for the first time.

Isla placed 7th AA and 3rd on Vault and Bars in the Aspires. Brooke placed 8th AA, 7th on bars and beam and 6th on floor in the Junior category, also performing her new vault for the first time.

Georgia again had a good competition and went on to place 6th AA as well as 3rd on Vault and Bars and 6th on Floor

Well done girls on some brilliant performances over these competitions and good luck for the British Championships.

Rosie (2015) - 2nd AA, 1st on beam, 2nd on floor and bars, 3rd on range and 5th on vault. Rosie also had the 3rd highest score out of all 89 gymnasts in grade 6 for all year groups and has passed her grade with a distinction.

Paige O (2015)- 9th AA, 7th on beam, 8th on range, 9th on floor and 10th on bars.

Paige also placed 27th out of all 89 gymnasts in grade 6 for all year groups and has passed her grade with a commended.

Libby (2014)- 6th AA, 1st on vault, 3rd on bars, 6th on range and 8th on floor.

Libby also placed 14th out of all 89 gymnasts in grade 6 for all year groups and has passed her grade with a commended.

Grade 5:

Paige W (2014)- 2nd AA, 1st on range, 2nd on floor, 4th on beam and 7th on bars.

Paige also placed 7th out of all 59 gymnasts in grade 5 for all year groups and has passed her grade with a distinction.

Grade 3:

Ava B (2012)- 8th AA, 3rd on floor, 7th on beam and 9th on vault and bars.

Ava also placed 19th out of all 53 gymnasts in grade 3 for all year groups and has passed her grade with a commended.

Ava W (2011)- 12th AA, 6th on vault and 7th on floor.

Ava also placed 28th out of all 53 gymnasts in grade 3 for all year groups and has passed her grade with a commended.

Grade 4:

Isla (2012)- 1st AA, 1st on vault, 2nd on floor, 3rd on beam and 4th on bars and range.

Congratulations to all of our recreational gymnasts who competed at our club championships on the 4th June 2023. 

It was great to see all the gymnasts having fun and showing off their skills, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
