They all did extremely well in their first and second competitions which was shown through their fantastic results.

They receieved - Four bronze medals, 3 4th places and four in top ten!

The Horsham Acro Squad won 17 medals in total with 3 shields for Grade 4 Groups, Grade 5 Pairs and Grade 6 Groups.

The results of the podium included:

Grade 2 Mixed Pair - Devon and Nina - 1st Place.

Grade 4 Womens Pair - Zoe and Ella - 2nd Place.

Grade 4 Womens Trio - Alex, Amy and Manami - 1st Place with Shield for Highest Score in Grade 4 Groups.

Grade 5 Mixed Pair - Madeline and Ben - 1st Place.

Grade 5 Womens Trio - Phoebe, Matilda and Myla - 3rd Place.

Grade 5 Womens Pair - Ella and Aimee - 1st Place with Shield for Highest Score in Grade 5 Pairs.

Grade 6 Womens Trio - Natalie, Zoe and Emily - 1st Place with Shield for Highest Score in Grade 6 Groups.

All of the gymnasts were very successful at this competition where lots of medals were achieved.

6 Sussex Champions - Amara, Izzy L, Charley, Evie, Izzy H and Honesty

2 Silver Medals - Fran and Katie

2 bronze medals - Poppy and Cissy

2 4th places - Christina and Phoebe

1 5th place - Scarlett

1 6th place - Mandy

1 7th place - Millie

1 9th place - Caitlin

Izzy H also won the supreme F.I.G shield and all 4 individual apparatus titles.

In the 5hour Advanced Girls Class of 05 and 06, Jasmine won 1^st place while Purdey and Alice also got onto the medals podium with 2^nd and 3^rd place.

Isabel and Frenki also dominate their group of the 5hour Advanced Girls Class of 03 and 04, winning 1^st and second place.

Holly in the 5hour Advanced Class of 02 won 3^rd place where she was only 0.2 points away from the gold medal position. Emma was placed 3^rd position in the Intermediate 4hour Girls Class of 05 and 06.

Finally, Sophie received 4^th place in the Novice 4hour Girls Class of 05 and 06, only 0.05 points of 3^rd position.

On Sunday 6th April, 4 girls competed in the advanced 4 piece competition.

 The girls had a fantastic competition coming home with a total of 12 individual apparatus medals, then in the overall position rankings for all the apparatus, Isobel came 5th, Jasmine 3rd, Ruby 2nd and Sophie Lomax won the coveted 1st place overall trophy.

 Sunday 13^th April 8 girls from competed in the Bronze & Silver competition levels who also came home with 12 individual apparatus medals, 5 Bronze, 5 Silver and 2 Gold and overall rankings of 2^nd & 3^rd very good results.

We are very pleased to report that the HGC school gymnastics support program in partnership with Horsham District Council kicks off to a good start this month with three small teams of HGC coaches being deployed into primary schools in and around the Horsham area, so far more than 120 gymnastics classes have been booked to run within individual primary schools within the Horsham area. Horsham Gymnastics Centre has been working closely with Horsham District Council to get this initiative off the ground which is expected to run for a minimum of two years.

The overall programme is based on the British Gymnastics Key Steps programme which has been especially formulated for introducing gymnastics into primary schools and comprises of fully qualified gymnastics coaches working alongside teaching staff to delivery classes within the school time table this not only improves the overall quality of the class but also providing critical teacher support so the programme can continue long after our coaches have left, over the next few weeks more than 3000 primary school children will get a chance to have fun and improve their gymnastics skills, fantastic news. 24 Horsham gymnasts making up 10 teams entered the L&G invitation this weekend and returned home with 6 Medals including our Grade 3 Mixed Pair, Benjamin Ratcliffe & Alexandra Rogers, who scored the second highest score of the day. Well done to all those gymnasts that took part and for some of them this was their first ever competition fantastic start to the year.

This event got off to a great start on the Friday with the Lamb sisters both securing Gold and Poppy a Bronze, the success continued throughout Saturday and concluded on Sunday with a 7^th Gold.

All the HGC gymnasts did very well with 100% pass rate many with distinction in addition to the individual medals each place between 1^st and 6^th scores points for the club so we were very pleased to hear that team Horsham also secured The Dinsley Cup which is awarded to the club that scored the most points over the three days of competition, so well done to all the gymnasts and coaches that contributed to this team win.

This is a great encouragement to the gymnasts and their coaches as they continue to prepare for the National Qualifying events in March.

Isabel performed an excellent vault-pike Tsukahara, and within her floor routine included for the first time a 21/2 twist. Isabel finished the competition with an overall placing of 22^nd which is an excellent result for a first time out at this very high level of competition.
